1. Start with an idea
What would the young people like to explore and create together? Collect their interests and questions. A film, performance or piece of music can provide a common thread. Make room for participants to shape the decisions.
2. Agree on partners and responsibilities
Discuss preparation, supervision and communication with the partner group. Which languages will people use? What support will they need? Record clear agreements and allow time to get to know one another.
3. Set a realistic framework
Travel, accommodation, timing and educational support belong together. Consider accessibility, group needs and contact people. Establish funding and responsibilities before making commitments. Funding options depend on the project and the programme conditions.
4. Think beyond the encounter
Plan a shared reflection and a way of showing what was created. What surprised the group? What would they like to continue? Agree on any public sharing with the people involved beforehand.
Begin with a short outline
For an initial enquiry, send the topic, a description of the group, an approximate period and your questions. This guide supports planning; it is not a binding funding or participation announcement.
